It all started when I fell in love with my Macintosh in 1984. I worked as a Respiratory Therapist by day, but by night I would spend hours exploring the Mac and all its tools to make art and type come together in such incredible ways.

I was fortunate enough to be able to finish my senior year in Graphic Design at San Jose State with classes from Hugh Dubberly and Rich Binell from Apple. I was greatly inspired by the times. It was the dawn of the internet and Silicon Valley was the place to be. I interned for my mentor in graphic design, Sam Smidt in Palo Alto. I went on to design for Acer Computers at Lai, Venuti and Lai and worked with packaging design for the software division at Xerox PARC.

And then I fell in love with Hawaii...and started the biggest design project of my life, but that is another story!
